Part 1 · Install the extension

Add the extension from your browser's store

Open the store page and click "Add to Chrome" (or "Get" on Edge), then confirm with "Add extension". It's completely free and no account is needed.

Pin the extension to your toolbar

Click the puzzle-piece icon 🧩 next to the address bar, then click the pin 📌 next to iLove Cursor. This keeps the cursor popup one click away.

Part 2 · Pick and apply a cursor

Browse the collection on ilove-cursor.com

Explore by category (anime, games, cute...) or use the search bar. To try a design before adding it, open its page with the "Preview" button and move your mouse over the demo box.

Click "ADD" on a cursor you like

The cursor is saved into your collection in the extension. Open the extension popup, pick it from your collection, and your pointer changes right away.

Reload tabs that were already open (F5)

Your new cursor applies right away to pages opened after installation. Tabs opened before need one reload — this is a limitation of every browser extension.

Cursor not working? 4 common issues

Each issue below explains the cause and how to fix it step by step.

🔄 I picked a cursor but an open tab didn't change

Why it happens: The extension can only inject a custom cursor into tabs opened after it was installed or enabled.

How to fix:

Press F5 (or Ctrl/Cmd + R) to reload that tab.
If nothing changes, close the tab completely and open the page again.
Open the extension popup and check that your cursor is still selected.

🚫 The cursor doesn't show on certain pages

Why it happens: Browsers block all extensions on their own pages for security reasons. This is not a bug, and no extension can work around it. Affected pages:

chrome:// pages (settings, extensions...)
edge:// pages
Chrome Web Store
Edge Add-ons store
The New Tab page

Your custom cursor comes back automatically as soon as you visit a normal website.

⚙️ The cursor suddenly reverted to default on every page

Why it happens: The extension was disabled, removed, or another cursor extension is conflicting with it.

How to fix:

Open chrome://extensions (or edge://extensions) and make sure iLove Cursor is turned on.
Disable or remove any other cursor-changing extension — two of them will fight over the pointer.
If it still doesn't work, remove the extension and install it again from the store.

🕵️ It doesn't work in Incognito / InPrivate windows

Why it happens: Browsers disable extensions in private windows by default until you allow them explicitly.

How to fix:

Open chrome://extensions (or edge://extensions) and click "Details" on iLove Cursor.
Turn on "Allow in Incognito" (Chrome) or "Allow in InPrivate" (Edge).
Close the private window and open a new one — the cursor now works there too.
